Ralf Rangnick has agreed to take charge of AC Milan, it has been revealed.
Sky Italia reports the former Hoffenheim coach will take over as a traditional British manager – a role as joint coach and director of sport.
Rangnick's arrival will see director Paolo Maldini forced out.
A summit between Rangnick and Milan chief exec Ivan Gazidis took place in Austria over the last few days.
Talks were held over the specific role Rangnick would take, which will see him appointed as manager of Milan. Football matters will be controlled by Rangnick and also Gazidis, meaning Maldini and fellow director Ricky Massara will be pushed out.
