Kyle Lafferty admits he is glad Rangers rejected a bid from Blackpool for his services in the summer. Premier League new boys Blackpool made a move for the Northern Ireland international just before the close of the transfer window, but Rangers snubbed their overtures.
"I didn't know where I stood in the summer when the boss brought two strikers in. Thankfully he told me I was still in his plans," Lafferty told the Daily Record.
"It would be very hard for me to leave a club that I support. I know I'll win trophies here and at such a young age, that's hard to beat.
"I didn't know about the Blackpool bid until the last day of the transfer window.
"Rangers knocked it back and I didn't even want to speak to them.
"I'm happy at Rangers and I want to carry on at Ibrox."
