Niall Quinn is set to be honoured by the city of Sunderland.
Former Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn is to be granted the freedom of the city for his "outstanding contribution".
Quinn, 46, will receive the honour in November after council leader Paul Watson said he had made an "outstanding contribution to Sunderland and life in our city", says the Evening Chronicle.
