Despite suffering a defeat to Swansea City in the most recent game, Leicester City's under-23 side are drawing a lot of praise from senior team manager Claude Puel.

The side are currently at the top of the U23 league, and they are providing an excellent platform for Leicester's young players to grow and learn the game.

Puel is very happy with that fact.

"I am very happy and proud about the staff of the under-23s and the players because they are developing and learning well," said Puel to Leicester Mercury.

"They play football. It isn't just about the results. They play very good football on the floor with quality and a good tempo.

"It is good to see the quality of the team and the individual players. They are improving and showing their quality, and their collective is interesting.

"They enjoy their football and all the staff and players have done some fantastic work, but they must continue.

"It is a good reward to be top but the most important thing is to continue this quality."
