Perth Glory striker Robbie Fowler is in talks with Phil Brown's Preston North End.

The Daily Mail says Brown has held tentative talks with former Liverpool striker Fowler but a deal is unlikely for the 35-year-old.

The former England international has spent the last two years playing in Australia, but is keen to return home.
