Premier League officials are seeking answers from Portsmouth chairman Sulaiman Al Fahim over the club's finances.
The Sun says he was set to be asked to explain his position on Monday after we told you the players had not been paid their wages.
Al Fahim yesterday had surgery after being admitted to a Dubai hospital with kidney stones.
The two men Al Fahim was due to face were Premier League chairman Dave Richards and chief executive Richard Scudamore, who gave his takeover the thumbs-up.
A source said: "The Premier League want some answers.
"The situation cannot be allowed to continue like this."
