Pirlo makes Pogba request to Juventus board: If we're going to spend big...

New Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo has made a request to the board for the return of Paul Pogba.

Tuttosport says Pirlo has asked sports director Fabrizio Paratici and president Andrea Agnelli to move for the Manchester United star - should they decide to make a big money signing this summer.

Juve are weighing up what sort of spend they can make during this transfer window. And if they do choose to spend big, new coach Pirlo has requested they focus on bringing former teammate Pogba back to Turin.

United are reluctant to sell the France international, who now has less than a year to run on his current deal. However, their stand would change if a cash bid of €100m arrives.

Pirlo has long regarded Pogba highly and would welcome the chance to build his new midfield around the World Cup winner.
