The family of Gerard Pique rejected an invitation to watch his Nou Camp farewell from the president's box.

Sport says the closest person to Pique who was in the presidential box on the day of his goodbye against Almeria was his agent, Arturo Canales.

His grandfather, parents, children, girlfriend and the rest of the invited family and friends preferred to sit in other seats closer to the pitch.

They were invited to sit in the box but they preferred the other location. Pique's grandfather is a former Barca director.
