Peterborough chairman MacAnthony: Edwards worth £70M in two years

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony believes he can sell Ronnie Edwards for mega money.

Tottenham and Chelsea have been linked with the defender this season.

MacAnthony told Football.London: "He's ice cold. I know some people like to point out his flaws, but show me a 19 year old who doesn't have them. Ronnie is so good that wherever he goes he will be a success.

"We have received bids, because the buying clubs know that you can earn more than £40 million from him in a few years. Average centre-backs can be sold for £60m.

"Ronnie is being sold, and in two and a half years he will be sold for 60-70 million pounds, such is the current market for young centre-backs."
