Club legend Ryan Giggs has backed Manchester United to complete the signing of Ivan Perisic.

The Inter Milan winger is believed to be on the verge of finalising his move to Old Trafford.

And the former United star believes the Croatian can provide the lift that the club needs.

"If he comes, then the likes of Marcus Rashford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial have to step it up," said the 43-year-old former United caretaker boss.

"It can be a boost for all the players. It not only excites the fans but also the players, when a new player comes in."
