Pedro has explained why he chose to join Roma this season from Chelsea.
The 33 year-old admits he had several offers to consider.
“I had several different offers on the table, but I chose Roma because I wanted to experience a different league and country," the Spaniard told the official Roma website.
“I am pleased with the decision I made, for various reasons. I wanted to be part of a winning team and do something important with Roma. It's a side that hasn't won in some time, so competing to the end for a trophy would be very positive for the club.
“I also spoke to the coach and he's a winner, because he prepares every game with the intent of winning. He can change a few things here and there in training during the week, like pressing a certain opponent, and that shows his desire for victory.
“I've spent most of my career with a high press and I really like that way of playing, so it's easy for me to work with Paulo Fonseca."
