Pedrerol blasts Zidane and Real Madrid players; mocks Griezmann Barcelona struggles

El Chiringuito's Josep Pedrerol has taken fresh aim at Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane after Saturday's defeat to Cadiz.

Cadiz shocked Real Madrid at the Alfredo di Stefano 1-0 on the weekend. Anthony Lozano hit the only goal of the game, with Zidane later conceding he wouldn't have had a problem if they were two or three goals down at halftime.

The result leaves Real Madrid in third place on the table, a point behind leaders Real Sociedad, though with a game in hand. However, Pedredol, who is a regular critic of Zidane, says the performance must be a concern for all Madridistas.

With Zidane also under pressure internally over the Premier League success of previously frozen out pair James Rodriguez and Sergio Reguilon with Everton and Tottenham repectively, Pedrerol says defeat to Cadiz threatens to be more than simply a blip.

On El Chiringuito via Okdiario, Pedredol blasted: "So we have Zidane, the great one. What happens to Real Madrid? Are you tactically prepared? Are the players physically fit? There were some footballers yesterday who showed that they don't deserve to play for Real Madrid.

"Discipline, Zidane, discipline. He who is not prepared cannot be selected.

"You have to respect the Real Madrid shield a little more and Zidane surely knows this."

Pedrerol also took aim at Barcelona attacker Antoine Griezmann on the same show.

The France international again struggled to make an impact during Saturday's defeat at Getafe.

Griezmann's performance came after he had starred for France during the international programme under coach Didier Deschamps.

Pedredol blasted: “Griezmann is still the same, I think he is still recording that documentary.

"At Barça he is not doing anything, he is failing at everything. Let Deschamps come to defend him..."

The "documentary" Pedrerol was referring to was Griezmann's infamous recording he did with Gerard Pique's company before the 2018 World Cup where he chose to snub Barca to stay with Atletico Madrid for another year.
