Paulo Dybala excited with Roma move: Juventus made their choice

Paulo Dybala is delighted to have joined AS Roma.

The Argentina striker was presented to the local media this morning after signing for the Giallorossi in a free transfer from Juventus.

Dybala began: "I think it's too early to talk about the Scudetto right now. Roma won a trophy last year, very important to have more ambition in the future. They have grown a lot in recent years, with the players coming together with (Jose) Mourinho.

"Everyone likes to win, it must be our goal. Thinking about each game, then we'll see how we are set for more important goals. There are teams ahead of us for the Scudetto fight, we have to work with serenity."

Asked about talks with Inter Milan, he continued: "Since the contract with Juventus expired, we have talked to many teams. The journalists have talked about some teams in particular, I have a very good relationship with (Beppe) Marotta. Many teams have become interested, at a certain point the director arrived in Turin and things have changed.

"Director Arrivabene was very clear in his statements. We had an agreement to sign in October, the club asked us to wait. In March we got the news from the club that I was not part of the future project. It was not an economic problem, but a non-problem, the club made another decision together with the coach, I talked to them and everything went like this. If it was their choice, there was no problem for me."

On Roma coach Jose Mourinho, he also said: "The first question, to Mourinho, was 'What can we win?'

"I like to win, but there are some points of reference that we have already seen last year. There is the awareness of the coach and the confidence of the boys, while we get to know each other in training. They are very important to reach the goal. I will try to give my all to keep winning."
