The parents of Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos say he should stay.

The 35 year-old defender comes off contract in June with negotiations proving difficult over the past months.

"I'm not worried at all, I'm very calm. He is still committed to playing for Real Madrid, but the family decides very little here. There is still time for everything to happen so we will see," said Ramos' father Jose Maria Ramos to Marca.

His mother Paqui Garcia also had her say.

"He seems to feel good I think and he feels happy. Let him stay at Real Madrid," said Paqui Garcia.
