Pardew looking for injured pair Obertan, Marveaux to provides impact at Newcastle

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew is excited about the fact that he will have Gabriel Obertan and Sylvain Marveaux at his disposal next season.

Former Manchester United winger Obertan was in and out of the Magpies line-up due to various toe and leg muscle injuries whilst ex-Rennes midfielder Marveaux missed about six months because of hip/groin problems.

But Pardew expects them to be fit for next season and is looking forward to adding the dangerous pair to his list of available players for the much-improved Toon outfit.

"This is going to be a different year, you have to remember that," he told the Newcastle Chronicle.

"Different players will come in and out of form - it won't just be about those who done well last year. I'm expecting Gabby Obertan and Sylvain Marveaux to be back and raring to go.

"They are two players that can have big seasons for us next year."
