Crystal Palace assistant manager Dave Kemp says a deal for Blackpool winger Thomas Ince is still on.
Ince is in talks with several Premier League clubs today, though Palace are regarded as favourites.
Kemp said: "He is close. It is ongoing. I am not in those negotiations. I have spoken to the player but I can't tell you where that is."
Asked about today's signings so far - Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and a permanent deal for Southampton's Jason Puncheon - he added: "Delighted to do those deals (for Hennessy and Puncheon) but we are trying to do more. Hopefully they will happen.
"Everyone is working hard. I can't announce anything else because it is not done. There are a number of deals ongoing but until they cross the lines they are ongoing deals."
