Ousmane Dembele has suffered a fresh injury in Barcelona training.

Sport says Dembele has sustained a hamstring injury after making his first appearance of the season in midweek.

Dembele, 24, came on as a substitute for the final 30 minutes of the 1-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League on Tuesday.

It was the Frenchman's first club appearance since last season following four months out with a knee problem picked up at Euro 2020 in the summer.

"The first team player Ousmane Dembélé has a strain in the semimembranosus muscle of his left hamstring," Barça announced on Thuesday. "He is unavailable for selection and his recovery will dictate his return."

Dembele will miss Saturday's trip to Celta Vigo in the league but Barça have not made any comment on the severity of the problem beyond that.
