Divock Origi admits a chat with Steve Cooper convinced him about moving to Nottingham Forest.
The AC Milan striker has joined Forest on-loan for the season.
"It feels amazing," Origi told Forest's YouTube channel. "It's good to be back in the UK. I had a little tour and saw the stadium, it was special."
On why he chose Forest, the former Liverpool striker said: "For me it was the approach, the ambitions of the team and my personal ambition. I felt they were aligning and there is something special going on. So for me it was an easy choice.
"Just being back (in England) feels like home. I signed in the UK when I was 19 so I grew up practically here. It feels amazing to be back."
Origi admits speaking with manager Cooper helped convince him: "It was good. You can see the work he's doing and the energy he's bringing. I could tell from afar before I spoke with him.
"And speaking with him, he told me how he saw me, how he sees the team and he translated the values of the team very well. It was easy to understand. It was a brief conversation but we connected instantly and we both felt very good."
