Onyszko defends Grabara after mocking Copenhagen teammate Ryan

Former goalkeeper Arek Onyszko has defended Kamil Grabara after he mocked FC Copenhagen teammate Mat Ryan.

After Ryan had claimed fellow FCK keeper Grabara was favoured in selection for "political reasons", the former Liverpool shot-stopper enjoyed mocking online the Australian's blunder for Argentina's first goal in their World Cup round 16 win.

Ex-OB keeper Onyszko told Ball.dk: "I think it was payback from Kamil Grabara. Grabara played great before his injury, so you also have to have some respect for his teammate.

"You should not suddenly say in the media that you do not understand why Kamil Grabara should now play. Mathew Ryan should have taken a look at what he said.

"It doesn't take much for a goalkeeper to be fierce, because it is the mentality in Poland where you are very proud to be a goalkeeper.

"Goalkeepers are special people. We are very proud and you have to believe in yourself, because you are responsible for the whole team."
