N'Zogbia leaves Villa management unhappy

Aston Villa management are disappointed with the antics of summer signing Charles N'Zogbia.

The Mail on Sunday says N'Zogbia was fined and dropped for Aston Villa's Premier League meeting with Manchester United after failing to turn up this week for treatment.

The French midfielder, a £9.5million recruit from Wigan in the summer, was expected to be at least in the squad for the match at Villa Park with the champions but failed to even make Aston Villa's bench after angering manager Alex McLeish with his behaviour.

McLeish confirmed N'Zogbia, 25, had been fined for 'a breach of club discipline', which is not the first time he has angered his managers having famously been dubbed 'Charles Insomnia' by boss Joe Kinnear during his spell on Tyneside two years ago.

Wigan were also concerned about his attitude after a move to Birmingham broke down over his wage demands last January, but he recovered his composure to score 10 goals last season, including five in the last six games of the campaign to help conjure up an unlikely escape from relegation.
