Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga is pushing for a start with Sweden next week.
The former Manchester United midfielder is preparing with Sweden for their Euros qualifier against Belgium on Monday.
Elanga said: "I tried to be focused on what I have to do on the pitch, I tried to be a threat all the time and tried to score goals.
"I had some options, but I can't focus on that.
"Hopefully I will play. I think it's been eleven months since my last start for the national team. For me it is important to keep calm and have patience.
"When I get the chance to play, I will take it."
