Nottingham Forest winger Elanga: Beating Man Utd was personal for me

Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga enjoyed victory over former club Manchester United last night.

Elanga had a say in Morgan Gibbs-White's late winner.

"Last season was not easy for me, because I played five or ten minutes. Then I didn't play for ten games. It was just in and out. But I tried to be strong," he told BBC Sport.

"I had my family who supported me. It has been difficult, when I wasn't even selected in the squad. This match was almost personal for me, because I wanted to prove that I can play at a high level.

"I'm just grateful that Forest picked me up. Before the match, I tried to put my emotions aside, and try to be as professional as possible. Today, not only me but the whole team played very well."
