Nottingham Forest signing Gustavo Scarpa: I'm very excited about Prem debut

Nottingham Forest signing Gustavo Scarpa was delighted to feature in the friendly win at Valencia.

Scarpa who came off the bench in the second half, had an instant impact in the game. He played in a flick from behind the Valencia defence to assist Emmanuel Dennis for the winner.

Speaking to Forest TV post-match, he said: "I'm very happy to be here, to help the team and get our first victory, this pre-season - for me it's a pre-season. I think I've been good but for sure, I can do better.

"I think I still have time to get used to this different type of game, it's quite different than Brazil, but I think I'm doing very well."

As he prepares to feature in the Premier League for the first time, he added: "I'm very excited to get back to England, not because of the weather, it's so cold. But I can't wait to start [playing in] the Premier League and Cup matches, and cheer for the guys that they can do well against Blackburn (in the Carabao Cup)."

Scarpa was also very grateful of the travelling fans and mentioned: "It's crazy to see how much love they have for all the players and the club," he continued. "For me it's great to receive this love from them, and I'm very happy with this."

Forest resume their Premier League campaign at Manchester United.
