Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has completed the takeover of Portugal's Rio Ave.

Marinakis has poured €20.5m into the club.

The money will settle the club's debts, provide transfer funds for the January window as well as help with improvements to Rio Ave's stadium and academy.

Helping facilitate the buyout has been super agent Jorge Mendes.

Marinakis has been the owner of Forest since 2017 and is also in charge of Olympiacos.
