Nottingham Forest boss Nuno admits trying to build up Turner's confidence

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno admits he's been trying to build up Matt Turner's confidence.

Turner will face former club Arsenal later tonight.

Nuno said: “Since we arrived, we decided that Matt would play in the Premier League games and that Ody (Odysseas Vlachodimos) would play in the Cup - but we changed our decision.

“We wanted to give Matt the opportunity to play against Bristol, because confidence is always important, with the specific job that the goalkeeper has.

“As a former goalkeeper myself, I understand that the more games you play, the better. There will be mistakes, because that happens in every team. But what we want is for everyone to feel confident and to help each other."

Nuno added on the former Gooner: “He can give us some inside information, because he was there. He can give us some good input. But he does not have a point to prove."
