Nottingham Forest are interested in Chelsea fullback Emerson Palmieri.

The Italy international is available from Chelsea after last season's loan with Lyon.

The London Evening Standard says Atalanta have also made contact with Chelsea for Emerson.

Atalanta and Nottingham Forest have both made initial contact over a possible move for the 28-year-old, who impressed while last season on loan at Lyon.

A move within the Premier League or back to Italy looks the most likely. Emerson has accepted he has little chance of first team football with Chelsea this season.
