Norwich City midfielder Mario Vrancic is desperate to kick on after making his first Premier League start of the season in Sunday's loss to Sheffield United.

A regular in the Canaries' Championship title-winning campaign, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international has struggled with a calf injury since preseason.

"It felt great. I quite enjoyed it, until we conceded the two goals!" said Vrancic.

"Obviously I'm pleased that I could start a game and hopefully there are many games that are following now.

"It's part of the game when you are injured.

"You miss playing football and I will try my best to contribute, to influence the game and give my best to help the team and the manager."
