Norwich boss Daniel Farke: Small details cost Liverpool defeat

Norwich City boss Daniel Farke felt the small details cost them defeat at home to Liverpool.

City had their openings against the World and European champions but they were punished for not taking them on 78 minutes.

Sadio Mané struck the decisive blow to take all three points back to Merseyside.

Farke told canaries.co.uk: “We're disappointed because it was a great performance. We were so good in so many topics that we wanted to achieve today, but not one topic because in this level you need to be unbelievably clinical in using your chance like in the first-half.

“We created several situations. To be one-on-one with the goalkeeper against Liverpool, it must be a goal when you want to win any points against them.

“Apart from that, we were good in many, many topics, the moment of magic from Mané was the difference today and for that we were pretty close to get something out of this game, but the outcome was a loss.

“We played the best team in the world and even the other best teams in the world are not able to win anything against Liverpool, we were pretty close to get something out of this game, so many compliments for the work and many compliments for the performance."
