No return date for Liverpool duo Benteke, Firmino

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to set a return date for the injured duo of Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino.

The German did confirm that they will miss the trip to Tottenham on Saturday as well as the Europa League clash against Rubin Kazan on Thursday but could not offer a precise time for a return.

Benteke has been missing in action since last month's 1-1 draw with Norwich City due to a hamstring injury while Firmino was forced to leave the pitch in the Capital One Cup victory over Carlisle United in late September.

Klopp said: "Benteke and Firmino are back on the pitch, not team training but better and better.

"I don't know exactly when they will come back, but I hope to see next week them in team training. Hopefully it can go quick, and they will be ready for playing."

On the pair's return date, he added: "For sure, not Saturday, and I don't think Thursday. For next Sunday, ask me next week!"
