Newcastle United defender James Perch has hit out at Arsenal captain Robin van Persie over his bust-up with Tim Krul. Van Persie signalled the scoreline to his fellow countryman Tim Krul after a long-running verbal battle about time wasting on Monday night.
Perch told the Evening Chronicle: "It was just out of order from Van Persie. He was having a go at Tim for taking his time.
"He has let himself down the way he acted after they scored the goal. When you think of the top players in the world, you class him up there, but I think he's let himself down there.
"You expect better. People look up to him - even I look up to him. I thought he was a great player, but he's lost a lot of respect.""But we're away at Arsenal, we don't have to play the way he wants, we play the way we want.
