Newcastle, West Ham target Austin could stay at QPR - Ramsay

Charlie Austin could remain at Loftus Road this season as long as other clubs keeping making insufficient offers, according to QPR boss Chris Ramsay.

Despite having been linked to various Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United, ASton Villa, Leicester City, West Ham United and Crystal Palace, Austin remains a QPR player and Ramsay is including him in his plans for the upcoming season in the Championship.

Ramsay told Sky Sports: "There have been offers, with a player of Charlie's ability there will always be speculation."

But speaking about the reports linking Austin with a move, Ramsay added: "At the moment, there has been nothing concrete. We've had offers that we've rejected, and we've had offers that Charlie himself has not been happy to take on.

"He is a QPR player and he´s working hard in training. I'm having the idea that he will be here into the season. If he is here during the season then he is going to be someone what we want to use."

25-year-old Austin scored 18 goals in his debut Premier League campaign with the R's despite the west London club's relegation to the second tier.
