Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech's performances at the World Cup for Morocco have attracted interest in his services.

The winger, who was a three-time Ajax player of the year before arriving at Chelsea, has struggled to get regular game time in the Premier League.

However, CBS Sports' Ben Jacobs states that Newcastle United are showing interest in Ziyech.

The Magpies believe the 29-year-old can thrive in manager Eddie Howe's attacking setup.

Ziyech does want to leave the club, but Chelsea may want a significant fee to fund their own spending plans under co-owner Todd Boehly's leadership.

Ziyech was linked with a return to Ajax in the summer, but a move was scuppered due to Chelsea's demands.
