Newcastle are launching a bid for Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele.

Off contract in June, Dembele has stalled talks over a new deal with Barca management.

Fussball Transfers says Newcastle are now making a move for the France World Cup winner.

Talks have opened about a pre-contract with Dembele's minders, with the player able to sign such a deal with any foreign club from January 1.

Dembele is demanding €15m-a-year to re-sign with Barca - which far outstrips the club's current budget.
