Newcastle make progress in deal for Watford attacker Joao Pedro

Newcastle United are pushing hard to secure Watford's Joao Pedro this summer.

The attacker does not want to spend a season in the Championship with the Hornets.

According to iNews, Newcastle will push for two permanent deals before the window closes.

Pedro is likely to be one of those players, as they seek competition for forward Callum Wilson.

However, the two clubs are apart in valuation, while Watford are set to rake in cash if they sell Ismaila Sarr to Aston Villa.

Newcastle may have to put in a huge bid, or offer a player in part-exchange, to get the deal done.
