Leicester City are said to be demanding at least £40 million for midfielder James Maddison this summer.

The attacking midfielder is a huge target for several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United.

The Magpies are serious about securing the England international after the Foxes' relegation to the Championship.

Per The Athletic, Maddison will not come cheap, despite only having a year left on his contract.

Leicester will only accept a sale on their terms, and may even hold onto Maddison for his final contract year if they do not get offered a high enough fee.

Despite the club's relegation, Maddison was one of the bright spots for the Foxes.
