Newcastle United are showing serious interest in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The Frenchman, who is 26 and has 17 months remaining on his Juve contract, will be available for a modest fee in the summer.

According to Calciomercato, Juve would be happy to lose Rabiot for a fee of around £12 million.

While there is likely to be interest from around Europe for the defensive midfielder, Newcastle have jumped to the head of the queue.

The Saudi-owned club are now cash rich, and will likely build a team capable of challenging for a European position in the summer.
