Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan refuses to accept selling Alan Smith to Everton.

Everton chief David Moyes wants Smith, 27, to replace Andy Johnson but Keegan will not consider letting him go.

A source close to Smith told The Sun: "Alan has heard nothing from Everton. He knows Keegan wants to keep him."

Smith could figure in today's home friendly against Valencia.
