Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has his fingers crossed that Davide Santon will be back in action on Friday night.
The 20-year old Italian left-back had to be subbed off at half-time of Wednesday's 3-2 loss to West Bromwich Albion with an injured knee, forcing him out of yesterday's 2-0 win at Bolton, but Pardew says he could be back for the trip to Liverpool on Friday.
"Santon's knee wasn't as bad we as thought," Pardew told the Gazette. "I left him out (against Bolton), but I think he'll be back for Liverpool."
