Wesley Fofana has suffered another injury setback in a friendly with Chelsea.
Fofana made just four appearances this season before suffering a knee injury against AC Milan in October. The former Leicester City centre-back looked to be getting close to full fitness but was dealt another blow during a behind closed doors friendly on Tuesday.
Football.london says Chelsea were forced to substitute Fofana against Brentford due to a knee injury. The ex-Foxes defender was making his first appearance since his injury, having not featured during the club's warm weather friendlies in Dubai, despite travelling with the rest of the squad.
The extent of his latest setback is unknown but will be a blow to Chelsea boss Graham Potter. Ahead of the club returning to competitive action against Bournemouth on December 27, Fofana had already put himself back in contention for selection.
