Feyenoord football chief Frank Arnesen has added former Chelsea scout Bjarne Hansen.
Discussing Hansen's arrival, Arnesen revealed he discovered Christian Eriksen in Denmark, only for Chelsea to refuse to deal him in. The Juventus star, formerly of Tottenham, would eventually move to Ajax.
Back in 2012, Hansen recalled to BT: "When we trialled him at Chelsea, he hadn't been to other clubs yet.
“We were close to an offer for Christian Eriksen with Chelsea. But we already had a player of the same age in his position with Josh McEachran. He had been with the club since he was eight. We then chose him.
"He made the right choice with Ajax at the time. He was a senior international at a young age and has developed tremendously."
