New England Revolution setting high standards ahead of 2014 season

New England Revolution midfielder Kelyn Rowe insists the club is looking towards the sky ahead of the 2014 MLS season.

The Revs are optimistic are coming off a campaign where they finished third in the Eastern Conference, for a seventh overall finish in MLS, and Rowe says the natural goal is to build on that mildly successful performance in 2013.

"It's every team's goal to make the playoffs and it's ours every year," said Rowe.

"It's obviously a reachable goal, because we've done it. We did it last year and we're going to do it again this year.

"Then it's that next step. Can you win that first (playoff) series? Then can you win the next series, get to MLS Cup and win that?

"It's a progressive goal, but after each game, you have to set your standards, and our standards are high."
