Nelson delighted proving Arsenal matchwinner in Cup

Arsenal fringe star Reiss Nelson has given his thoughts on scoring the winner in the Carabao Cup third round.

The midfielder got on the end of a good move to give his team a 1-0 success over Brentford on Wednesday.

While Nelson is hoping that he can get more game time in the Premier League, he was delighted to play match winner in the cup.

“It's good man, it's nice to be back out there on the pitch, nice to be starting with some familiar faces, Emile [Smith Rowe], Eddie [Nketiah]," he said post-game, per the club website.

“And it was good, very confident feeling to win, get a goal, and delighted to be in the next round.

“I know Eddie likes to press, he's aggressive upfront, baggy touch from their center-back and Eddie pounced on it, kind of laid it off to me, but I thought the defender got there before me, I was a bit upset - but I carried on with my movement and I got it, slotted it into the bottom corner."
