Napoli are watching Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour.

Calciomercato.com says the Serie A club are weighing up the possibility of taking the 19-year-old on loan with a view to a permanent transfer if he fits in.

Gilmour impressed as he played 11 times for Chelsea last season, but his progress was curtailed by injury in July, and he made his first appearance of the season in last week's win over Sevilla.

Juventus have also been linked with a move for Gilmour - but Chelsea are expected to resist any attempts to sign the Scotland under-21 ace permanently as he is highly rated at Stamford Bridge.
