Nani has urged his former Manchester United teammate Robin van Persie to come and join him at Fenerbahce.

The Dutchman has already been linked with a move to Turkish club recently and now new signing Nani has implored the striker to follow him to Istanbul.

Nani said at a press conference: "I haven't had the chance to talk with Robin van Persie yet but if he comes to Fenerbahce, I am sure that he will be very successful.

"I know Robin very well and it would be the right decision if Fenerbahce sign him.

"I am very happy and proud to be part of Fenerbahce. I have no doubts that I made the right decision to come here. I will give my all for his club."
