Yuto Nagatomo was full of praise for Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti following the weekend's 2-0 victory over Livorno.
The Japanese defender scored an injury-time goal as the Nerazzurri went fourth on the Serie A table and wanted to dedicate it to 40-year old Argentine Zanetti who came on late for his first appearance since August.
"I want to dedicate my goal to the captain," Nagatomo told Mediaset Premium of Zanetti who has been missing with an achilles problem.
"Also, before the game I sent a message to [team manager Ivan] Cordoba saying 'I'll score a goal for you.'
"I'm excited and glad to have Zanetti back. We must still improve a lot, but everything is indecisive until the end of the season. We'll play to our maximum and see what happens."
