Real Madrid defender Nacho hailed the manner of their Copa del Rey win against Elche.

Nacho played the full 120 minutes in the marathon clash on Thursday.

He said: “It's an incredible feat, especially to come from behind being a man down. It was a long, tough game and they defended really well. We're happy to be into the next round, which was our aim tonight.

“We did these colours proud tonight, we fought to the end, even in adversity of having ten men. The team gave it everything they had and I think we absolutely deserve to be in the next round.

“The whole squad is important. On days like today when we're up against it, some of the guys who have had less minutes really show up and clinch qualification for us."
