Reading captain Graham Murty admits it's crucial that Steve Coppell's new signings in January won't affect dressing room morale.
"We need to know our team-mates will run through a brick wall for us, steamroller anyone just to get us out of a hole. If Dave Kitson sprints back to make a tackle in his own area in the 95th minute, we don't give him high fives. That is the minimum requirement here.
"We need a team of players who will go an extra yard for us.
"If a player doesn't integrate into what we're trying to achieve, he won't be coming here. No matter how good he is. There are no flash cars or diamond earrings here. All our success has come from our team ethic. We've got some good players but no superstars.
"And if we go away from that, we risk losing everything."
