Morrison, Arteta reject Man Utd boss Rangnick demanding Prem Carabao Cup exit

Former Manchester United youngster Ravel Morrison has hit out at caretaker manager Ralf Rangnick over the German's claims Premier League clubs leave the Carabao Cup.

Derby midfielder Morrison has insisted that the competition provides youngsters with the opportunity to make a name for themselves and gain experience.

Morrison posted to social media: "It's a good cup for the younger generation to get their chance & shine."

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta also said: “We made it to the semifinals, which is what we wanted.

"I don't see coaches and clubs giving up the League Cup because everyone wants to win and win trophies.

"If you look at the lineups of teams 10 years ago and now, you will see that they are very different."
