Vincenzo Montella is delighted seeing Fiorentina on the brink of double title success.

Now in the Coppa Italia final, Fiorentina are to play the second-leg of the Europa Conference League semifinal this week.

Former Fiorentina coach Montella, now in charge of Adana Demirspor, told TMW: "Winning is always important, in any competition. Sometimes there are many suitors, sometimes better equipped than you but this counts for little.

"Fiorentina and (Vincenzo) Italiano deserve compliments, because the team is managed to be competitive in two competitions: reaching the final of the Coppa Italia isn't easy, just as it isn't getting to the gates of an international final.

"Whatever happens, I think it's an excellent result and I congratulate Vincenzo because it's absolutely not easy..

"I like Fiorentina, because the Italian transmits courage to his teams, beyond the technical-tactical aspects, he has always shown this in his career. He works much more on his own team than on the opponents, for this reason I appreciate it very much."
