James Milner says Manchester City must continue their recent form to takeover the Premier League leadership from Chelsea.
Manuel Pellegrini's men are in the middle of an unbeaten run of 13 games stretching back to the start of November.
The impressive form has seen them haul in the Blues at the top of the table, reach the knockout stages of the Champions League against the odds and book a place in the FA Cup fourth round.
City are also close to welcoming back injured strikers Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko and Milner said: "We have managed to close the gap on the leaders and we are in there where you want to be.
"We are in the next round of the FA Cup and that was massively important.
"We are on a good run, 13 unbeaten. It is big momentum to have to go into that game (at Chelsea) with confidence flying."
